Eating disorders refers with eating or avoid eating which negatively affects both physical and mental health of a person. Eating disorders are very common amongst all the countries, you may say out of every 100 person one or two are suffering from the eating disorder. Eating disorders are sure to lose your weight by allowing no proper food consumption into your body. Let’s see some most common types of eating disorders: Anorexia, Binge eating disorder and Bulimia nervosa.

Patients suffering from eating disorders typically require a treatment team consisting of a primary care physician, dietician and a mental health professional, who are having high skilled knowledge about dealing with eating disorder. These professionals know the pros and cons of eating disorders and hence they handle the eating disorder treatment in their own unique way!

Anorexia eating disorder:

People suffering from Anorexia are looking towards their weight loss in a rapid manner. They are just worried about their looks and personality. On anyhow they want to lose their weight. People suffering from Anorexia are on dieting, fasting or excessive exercise. Due to this they eat a little and this little amount of food becomes obsession. Some people suffering from Anorexia eat a lot of food but then reduce calories by excessive exercise or vomiting. Upto 15% of people die from Anorexia complications.

Bulimia eating disorder:

During Bulimia a person tries to eat or intakes lot of food but then try to force themselves for vomiting, undue exercise or lots of physical strain. They force themselves and push themselves by finger into mouth to vomit all the food. But over time these steps can prove very dangerous. Bulimia can result into many physical and psychological problems in near future.

Binge eating disorder:

The binge eating disorder is that similar to Anorexia and Bulimia but the difference is here the patient does not force to vomit the food immediately. In fact the patient binges food more than three times a week.

How to treat these eating disorders?

Luckily these disorders can be treated when the patient is taught to eat only normal food. The patients of Anorexia and Bulimia are conscious about getting fat or over weight therefore they are to be focused on the normal eating habits and can be made more conscious about their health by letting them know the importance of food. You can talk to anyone about this including your dietician, doctor, parents, friend or neighbor. Because due to this eating disorders there are chances of getting literally thin and slim this may prove dangerous sometimes. Live healthy and eat healthy to avoid unnecessary health problems.
