frosen-shouldersFrozen shoulder is characterized by loss of motion and extreme unbearable pain. Round about 2% of the general population gets affected by the Frozen Shoulder. There is no specific reason or injury which gives birth to the problem of Frozen Shoulders. In fact any small injury can get worse and suddenly can be tuned into frozen shoulder.

What exactly happens in Frozen Shoulders?

Pain often starts with an immergence of small injury which has got worse and sometimes sudden pain in arms also results in Frozen Shoulders. This pain doesn’t even allow having a sound sleep; it also affects your dressing style as you feel immense pain while dressing. Any activities which involve hand moments from arms can definitely give you pain.

This pain can get into control through some medicines and injections but the permanent relief would be only with long term treatment. Some doctors have even taken 5 to 6 years for solving this pain from the patient’s arms. The causes of frozen shoulder are not fully understood by any doctors till now. The process of frozen shoulder involves thickening and contracture of the capsule surrounding the shoulder joint.

Frozen shoulder Symptoms:

· Some slow flying pain from first week which slowly turns into worse pain in around 6 weeks. This pain may last till six to eight weeks

· During the second stage pain is relieved a bit or so but the moment of shoulder gets stiffed. The stiffness remains for around 8 months.

· The final stage is called as thawing. Here you will feel that shoulder moments are turned normal. It may take time period of 3years maximum

Frozen shoulder Treatment:

Sometimes the doctor or orthopedic masters try to give physical therapy treatment to the patient. Surgical treatment is advised when there is no improvement in motion of the patient’s shoulders. Surgical involvement is aimed at stretching the contracted joint capsule of the shoulder. The most common methods include manipulation under anesthesia and shoulder arthroscopy. With shoulder arthroscopy, the surgeon makes several small slits around the shoulder. A petite camera and instruments are inserted through the incisions. These instruments are used to cut through the tight portions of the joint capsule.
