Dark circles mostly appear due to lack of adequate rest & the skin gets tanned because of the over exposure to the sun. As you become old the skin under your eyes also grows thin, and the little pads of fat that are deposited in eyelids get wasted. Gravity, hormonal skin changes, menstrual problems, leukemia, frequent constipation, fatigue, stressful activities, insomniac or lack of sufficient sleep, heredity, advancing age, exposure to sunlight very often, structure of bone, eyes set deep in skull bones may develop ark shadow under them, medications which cause dilation of blood vessels cause dark circles under eyes, allergies, Nutrition, lack of essential nutrients in diet or poor diet causes discoloration of under eye skin, hormonal imbalance and chronic skin damage can all contribute to dark rings under eyes.

Dark circles under eyes are a common beauty problem, they make us to feel worse and are rather detrimental to our self esteem, it indicates you that something is wrong with you, you are not attractive and radiant as you used to be, or you may look much older than you really are. These dark circles make a person look like a zombie, dull and listless and many more. The most important factor in development of dark circles is the proliferation of veins around the eye. Veins can contribute to skin tone changes associated with the dark circles.

The simplest, best and effective way to remove dark circles under the eyes is to think healthy, eat healthy, always be hydrated, have sufficient sleep and drink two liters of water every day. Grate cucumber and squeeze fresh juice out of gratings, after that dip two cotton balls in it and keep these cotton balls on eyes, this relaxes eyes and relieves tiredness of eyes. Considered as the best remedy for under eye dark circles, or for quick result one can practice yoga and pranayam as per the ayurvedic method of self meditation.
